3 weeks old

Today Noah is 3 weeks old. He's definitely getting bigger - newborn diapers are starting to get snug. Noah is still a very happy baby and is sleeping great.

2 weeks old

Yesterday was Noah's 2-week birthday. We celebrated by going to the pediatrician for a wellness check-up. Noah gained almost a pound so far - he's now at 6lbs, 12oz - which is 2oz more than Michael was when he was born. He also apparently grew 2 1/2 inches.

Finally...the video of Noah

Happy Valentine's Day

This first picture is kind of hard to see, but it's too cute not to post. Michael drew this picture of Noah (he has no arms because he's swaddled in a blanket) and wrote his name next to it. Noah slept really well last night - up every 4 hours or so. Today my friend Amy is coming over to visit us, and tomorrow we're going to the doctor for Noah's 2-week check up. I'm also planning on stopping by the lab and Michael's school to show off the baby.

Video of Noah

It may not be the most exciting baby video but what do you expect from a 1-week old? Be patient...I assue you that Noah will eventually move. There is even a sprcial surprise at the end that I'm sure Ryan will especially enjoy.

Noah Francis Sikorski

Noah was born at 11:26 a.m. on February 1. He weighed 5 lbs, 13 oz and
measured in at 17 inches. Noah has light hair and dark eyes. Unlike his big brother Noah is very quiet and likes to sleep a lot. Here are a few pictures - I'll post more in the next few days.

12 hours to go...

Last Friday at my doctor's appointment we scheduled an induction for February 6th but we've now changed the date to February 1st. I went to the doctor on Monday because I was having some pretty bad cramps and went again this morning because they were even worse. It obviously wasn't labor, but since I've been having these symptoms and since there was an opening for an induction tomorrow we decided to take it. I'm actually feeling really anxious about it - mostly because Micahel came on his own and it just seems strange to walk into the hospital and have labor started for you. It's almost like it's too easy. But, there are some good things. First, my doctor is guaranteed to deliver the baby. Second, there won't be any craziness associated with going into labor, and third, both my mom and my grandma's birthday are tomorrow.

Jeff and I will be sure to post pics once we're able. Wish us luck!

37 Weeks and Counting

I am 37 weeks pregnant as of January 20. On the 16th I had an ultrasound to determine the size of the baby and it was estimated at 4 lbs, 13 oz. The baby should gain about 1/2 pound per week which will put it close to what Michael weighed when he was born.

The week of the 16th was pretty interesting here in San Antonio. We continued to get a lot of rain and on Tuesday the temperatures fell below freezing. As a result the entire city was under ice and was shut down until Thursday morning. Below is a picture of what it looked like at our house.

On Friday I had another appointment with the doctor. Nothing too exciting to report. My next appointment is on the 26th.

I haven't posted a self-portrait of Michael for a while so here is one I just found. Enjoy!

Friday, December 22, 2006

For all of you who have been asking for pictures of me, here they are. I took these yesterday - 33 weeks into the pregnancy.

And here is another picture of Maggie. This picture is the first one we took of her on October 3. She was about 9 weeks old here and weighed around 25 pounds.
Right now Maggie is exactly 5 months old and weighs 60 pounds.

Pictures of Maggie are finally here!

These pictures should get rid of the rumors that we were just making up a story about having a dog. Yes, it is true. Maggie exists! She was born on July 23 and is just over 4 months now. She weighs 51 lbs and is 26 inches tall.
